Nosizwe has more than 18 years experience with volunteer recruitment and retention, special events planning, training, grassroots marketing, organization of community institutions, program development and implementation and training for social programs benefiting children, youth, women and families.

The Black Community Crusade for Children, Black Community Institutions Network, Black Women for Wellness, Americorps, El Camino College Foster and Kinship Education Department, Daddy’s House Social Programs, Environmental Careers Organization, Tampax Total You Tour and UCLA Community Programs Office are some of the institutions that have benefited from her expertise. In addition to the organizations that Nosizwe has served, she has a vast network of nonprofit, social, cultural, political, educational and professional organizations and media that include: Service Planning Area 6 (conglomerate of more than 100 community institutions), UCLA Alumni/Black Alumni Associations, Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta sororities, New World Education, NAACP, Urban League, SCLC, KJLH Radio Station, The Beat Radio Station, and LA Weekly News Magazine (partial list).

Nosizwe has received numerous awards and recognition for outstanding service from UCLA Community Programs Office, UCLA African Student Union and Ward A.M.E. Church Women’s Ministry.

Eighteen years ago Nosizwe became a community servant, and in the process of helping others she experienced a personal transformation. What she knows first-hand is that when we help others we also help ourselves because ultimately, we are all interconnected and partners in the process of social transformation. Nosizwe is a member of the Advisory Board for the El Camino Foster and Kinship Education Department. She is in the process of becoming an Adult Supporter for the California Youth Connection, an organization of present and former foster youth who advocate for legislative support and resources for foster youth.
