Jemia is an Account Executive with BLH Consulting, Inc. where she
manages the day-to-day client work, meets deadlines and drives projects
to fruition. Her strengths include media relations, community outreach,
event planning and writing. She currently manages projects for such
clients as ING Financial Services, Concessions International, LLC and
the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association.
The native Atlantan and Emory University graduate has had a variety
of experiences within the field of public relations and marketing.
Some of those experiences include working as an Account Assistant at
FirstClass, Inc., interning at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta
and interning at the Emory University Office of Public Affairs. While
working at Emory, she started and served as Editor of the Public Affairs
Newsletter and wrote for Goizueta Magazine, the official Emory Business
School publication. She has worked with a variety of clients including
Burger King, Waste Management, Inc., Atlanta Life Financial Group,
Staples, Spelman College, Emory University, Families First, the National
Conference of Black Mayors (NCBM) and the 2003 Trumpet Awards.
In addition to her work experience, Jemia has conducted various research
studies and surveys including psychological research in Canterbury
and London, England.
Jemia is a volunteer with the Maynard Jackson Youth Foundation (and
a graduate of the program) and serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of
Directors for IMAGE Programs, Inc. The member of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc. is also the Program Coordinator for Sister II Sister,
the young women’s mentoring program at her church for girls ages
13-18. She is also a youth group advisor.
