With more than eight years
of experience, Alejandra has served as a public relations consultant
to major clients within the U.S. Hispanic
and Latin American markets. She has worked on both the development
and implementation of consumer brand marketing strategies for such
clients as Procter & Gamble, Nokia and The Panamanian Tourism Board
(IPAT). She also worked on the implementation of sponsorship initiatives
for IPAT, such as Miss Universe and American Express.
For Delta Air
Lines, Alejandra supported the Latin American region by organizing FAM
trips
nationally and internationally for the client.
Alejandra helped with the development of documents in Spanish for
the launch of the global airline alliance comprised of Aeroméxico,
Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta and Korean Air in
June 2000. Alejandra was also responsible for media relations within
the
Hispanic market for The Home Depot and also for the media relations
in the Latin American markets for Hemisphere, the nonprofit organization
that is promoting Georgia as the site of the FTAA (Free Trade Area
of The Americas). More recently she has been supporting Delta Air
Lines within the Corporate Communications Group for Latin American
and Hispanic
markets.
Alejandra has also played a major role as an English-Spanish translator
for such accounts as Procter & Gamble, Bridgestone, The Home Depot
and Nokia. She’s used her vast experience and extensive knowledge
of both the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American cultures to build relationships
with key media in these markets.
Alejandra has also managed press bureaus and major events in Europe
and Latin America and has handled media relations with Latin American
and U.S.-based Spanish language publications for her clients. She has
planned and supervised special promotional events featuring celebrity
spokespeople and has coordinated the development and implementation
of public relations/community sponsorship plans in Latin America.
A native Chilean, Alejandra held several public relations positions
in Chile before moving to the U.S. to continue her career. Through
her many years of experience, Alejandra has mastered the art of translating
press kits and advertising materials for her clients.
Alejandra is an alumna of the National Institute of Professional Education
in Santiago, Chile, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Communications
and Public Relations. She has lived in Atlanta for the past seven years
and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
